Kelly Gable, a Pharm.D. graduate from the University of Mississippi, received the Teaching Excellence Award from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. With her numerous accolades, she is the first SIUE School of Pharmacy faculty member to be given this recognition. Her experiences at the School of Pharmacy strongly influenced her success.

Sujith Ramachandran presents his three-minute thesis. He received the top prize at the competition.

University of Mississippi pharmacy administration students Amod Athavale and Sujith Ramachandran won first place in the Ph.D. division and the Grand Prize, respectively, in the campuswide Three Minute Thesis competition. Ramachandran will represent Ole Miss at the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools competition in March.

Charles D. Hufford helped acquire new NMR spectrometers for the pharmacy school.

With the help of federal funds, the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy will soon install three nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers. NMRs are integral in the drug-discovery process, and the additions will complete an impressive suite of eight machines.
