How much does it cost to live in the residential college?
Room rates for a bed in a double suite are $2400 per semester and $2800 per semester for a single in any configuration (single, shared single suite, or quad suite). Members are required to purchase the college meal plan: $1600 per semester for unlimited meals and snacks in the college dining hall, plus 100 meals to eat elsewhere on campus
Do I have to live in the residential college all four years?
Students have the opportunity to live in the residential college for all four years of their academic career. Returning students have first priority in room selection the next academic year. Students can leave and return to the residential college after studying abroad, living in a Greek house, or pursuing other academic opportunities that take them away from the residential college.
If , after the first year, a student decides that Ole Miss and/or the residential college is not the right fit for his or her academic endeavors, the student has the opportunity to leave the residential college. If a student remains at Ole Miss, but leaves the residential college, he or she will not have the opportunity to return to the residential college.
Is there a minimum GPA requirement?
Members must remain in academic good standing to stay in the Residential College. Although there is no strict GPA requirement, each student is encouraged to maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
Can I choose my roommate?
You and your roommate must both apply and be accepted to the residential college in order to be roommates.
Does the residential college have community bathrooms?
No, the residential college has at least one bathroom in each suite. 1-2 people will share the bathroom depending on the layout of the suite.
When will freshman find out if they have been accepted into the residential college?
We anticipate that freshmen will know by the end of March if they have been accepted into the residential college.
