The Miss University Scholarship Pageant is sponsored annually by the
Department of Campus Programming and The Student Programming Board
and is a preliminary pageant for the Miss Mississippi and Miss
America pageants. Each contestant competes in the areas of
interview, talent, swim wear, and evening gown. The winner of
the Miss University Pageant will represent the University throughout
the year at speaking and entertainment engagements and will compete
for the title of Miss Mississippi in Vicksburg, MS in July.
Previously five Miss University title holders have won Miss
Mississippi, and two have won Miss America.
