This site contains all the pictures I took when I went to Heidelberg, Germany in the summer of 2004. Eddie Upton and I went to Germany to attend focus group meetings for SAP in Waldorf, which is a small town outside of Heidelberg. It was a wonderful trip, and I hope to go back to Germany one day.
We left for Germany on Saturday and arrived on a Sunday. When we arrived at Heidelberg and checked in to the hotel, we crashed for a couple of hours. Then we took a tour of Heidelberg's famous Hauptstrasse and visited the castle. On Monday, we shopped and drove to the Palace Gardens in Schwetzingen. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday we attended focus groups in Waldorf. Friday we took a boat trip up the Neckar River.
Although the Weather Channel predicted rain all week, most of the days were sunny. There was only one day in which it rained, and it only last a few minutes. The highs were in the 60s and the lows were in the 50s. It was actually more comfortable at the hotel to leave the windows open than to run the AC. We could not have asked for better weather.
I have divided the pictures into 8 groups. Please set aside some time to browse through them all!
