Text Box: Space Shuttle Challenger Recovery Mission in 1986. From there I was moved to Site One in Holy Lock Scotland, UK. I was a Nuclear Electricians Mate on the USS Henry Clay (SSBN-625), Blue Crew, where I completed six deterrent patrols.
After I was discharged from the Navy, I worked in construction for a while as an electrician, then decided to “go trucking”. I went to school and obtained a Class A Commercial Driver’s License and got a job as a long haul truck driver. After nine years of seeing the United States and over a million accident-free miles, I decided to go back to school. In 1998, fifteen years after graduating from high school, I was accepted to the University of Mississippi.
I loved Ole Miss so much I never left….

I’ve tried to put together a web site that shows off some of the places I’ve been, some of the things I’ve done, and some of the people I’ve met. I hope you enjoy it. Use the buttons in the center of the page to get back and forth to the different parts of the site. Every page will have a “HOME “ button on it in the top left corner that will bring you back to this page so that you can navigate easily between pages.
If you have any questions or comments, or if you need to report any typos or broken links, please feel free to contact me at jfwigint@olemiss.edu. Thanks!
