THE FACULTY

Dr. Donald L. Dyer is an Associate Professor of Russian and Linguistics in the Department of Modern Languages. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and went on to earn a master's and doctoral degree from the University of Chicago.

One of the first things that his students learn about Dr. Dyer is that he is an enthusiastic teacher with a love of his subject and a sincere desire to share his knowledge with his students. He works hard to make his classroom a place where students enjoy learning.

Dr. Dyer's door is always open and he loves to get E-Mail. If you are interested in getting more information about the Russian Studies Program at Ole Miss you could contact him at mldyer@olemiss.edu. Mr. Nugzar G. Kopadze is from the former Soviet Republic of Georgia. He is an Instructor of Russian Language and Culture. Mr. Kopadze's emphasis in class is getting his reluctant students to speak Russian. He is always finding new techniques for demonstrating new grammatical points - anything to help his students understand. He is also always ready to give his students extra help outside of class. Mr. Kopadze speaks several languages, so he understands the frustrations of learning another language.
