Lions, Tigers, and Bears oh my!! Although, we won’t be hunting animals our Cub Safari leaders and scouts will gear up with Safari hats and camouflage and experience the Safari Trek into the unknown world of Cub Safari Resident Camp.
Imagine the chance to vacation on varying terrain, experience great food, camaraderie, fun games, and even learn STUFF! Our Safari scouts and leaders shall emerge victorious and unscathed and will be prepared to tackle the future jungle of Scouting. To better prepare our Safari scouts, each age group, such as Tigers, Wolves, Bears, and Webelos I and II, will have separate advancement. The skills learned will be invaluable! For practice, scouts will get to swim, shoot bows and arrows and BB guns, play field games, build things, and get WET! Webelos will have the opportunity to shoot moving archery targets and learn how to escape a safari threat by canoe.
The session dates are: Session I May 25 – 28, Session II May 28 – 31, Session III June 29 – July 2. Remember to get your personal and pack registration form, deposit, and T-shirt order form in by April 18th. Early Bird registration will ensure your unit a place and get each participant a limited edition ghost patch! We still need volunteers, such as a medic, archery instructors, and advancement leaders! Thanks to all our current volunteers.
