Biography
Hyun-Soo Woo, Ph.D., is Interim Chair of the Department of Management, School of Business Fellow, and Associate Professor of Management in the School of Business Administration at the University of Mississippi. He earned his Ph.D. in Strategic Management from the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.
is research focuses on corporate and competitive strategy, including agglomeration, competitive dynamics, corporate social responsibility, and research methods. His work has been published in leading management journals, including Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, and Organizational Research Methods. He serves on the editorial review boards of Organizational Research Methods and The Leadership Quarterly and as an ad hoc reviewer for several management journals.
Dr. Woo teaches undergraduate, MBA, and doctoral courses in strategic management, predictive modeling, and research methods. His teaching emphasizes active learning, knowledge sharing, and the application of analytical and strategic thinking to real-world business problems. He is committed to creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that supports students with diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
