Biography
Dr. Hong Xiao is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Mississippi, where she also serves as Associate Director of the Institute for Data Science. Her research focuses on the development of high-order, high-accuracy, and stable numerical algorithms. Her work has broad interdisciplinary applications, including signal processing, communications, mechanics, adaptive optics, machine learning, biomedical informatics, and robotics. Dr. Xiao has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Xiao received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Yale University. Prior to joining the University of Mississippi, she spent more than a decade working in industry.
