Visitors are individuals who are not students, faculty or staff. (Designated visitor parking sites are ONLY for visitors. Special lots are designated for students, faculty and staff.)
Welcome to Ole Miss!
Visiting campus on a weekday? All campus visitors must purchase a $1 daily hangtag and park in the appropriately marked parking lots. Permits are required for everyone on campus from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday. Outside of these times, permits are not required, but cars must be parked in legal stalls (i.e., not parked in no parking zones). Please review the visitor parking zones map.
Visitors have the option of purchasing passes in the following ways:
- Online - You may purchase your $1 visitor pass online and print it before your arrival for your visit. If you are a regular visitor, you will only need to fill in the information on your vehicle’s make/model/tag the first time. The website will repopulate the form on each subsequent visit.
- Campus Welcome Booth – If you forget your parking pass or if there’s no time for pre-planning, guests can stop by the welcome booth on University Avenue, in front of the Thad Cochran Research Center. (The welcome booth opened Monday, Aug. 12.) A host will have $1 parking passes available from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can direct guests to appropriate visitor parking.
- In person at the Department of Parking and Transportation - You may visit the Department of Parking and Transportation offices located in Lester Hall, Room 120 to purchase your parking pass when you arrive on campus. You may park in clearly marked visitor parking spots in front of Lester Hall while you purchase your pass. Be sure to bring your license plate number and be prepared with make/model of your car.
A limited number of short-term (30 minutes or less), free parking spaces are available for visitors in areas where tickets are purchased or donations are made, including the UM Foundation, Ole Miss Athletics Foundation and the Union. These spots will be clearly marked as short-term parking. Individuals with hangtags for other designated areas, such as students, faculty and staff, will be ticketed if they park in short-term visitor parking.
Campus visitors are expected to comply with all traffic and parking regulations and may park only in the appropriate visitor lots. Please be sure your permit is displayed appropriately. Citations may be paid through the Department of Parking and Transportation. Visit these helpful links for more information:
